The true saga of Kazuhira Miller.
K: Do you like tortillas, Snake?
S: What’s this all of a sudden?
K: They’re made with corn flour, one of the main ingredients in Central American cuisine. Ever since I was in the States it’s one of my favorite foods.
S: Well, I know that, but…
K: If only we could enjoy that savoury taste at any time… don’t you agree, Snake?
S: It wouldn’t be useful for the mission. And they don’t preserve very well.
K: I’m not giving up on it. Our R&D unit has developed preservation-friendly tortilla chips. They are tortillas cut into triangles and fried in oil. We refer to them as “Doritos”.
K: In Spanish, that means “small gold nugget”. It’s because they come out with a beautiful golden color.
